Zooming in a bit, the grades are more apparent in the double switchback.  Grades are as steep as four percent getting up to the high line.  The Shay is sitting on the mainline, with a run-around track to the right.  The long single track beyond the crossover is where the skeleton flats will be loaded by the McGiffert loader.  The short track to the right (beyond the crossover) is for supplies and a kitchen car.  The small blocks at the end of each section of roadbed are temporary bumpers to prevent disaster before the permanent bumpers are installed.
