center, and the Spencer switchback trackage at the right. The
view is compressed in this telephoto shot . . . the curves aren't
nearly as severe as they appear. They're generally 30" radius
and larger (mostly 36" radius in this area). The trackage in
Whitcomb is the Louisiana Central. The Spencer mainline is the
track snaking around the backside of the town. |
