Louisiana Central Railroad Company Layout Construction

<< Previous
This view is looking the other direction at the south staging tracks.  The I.C. track is on the left, the T&P track is the one offsetting around the I.C. track.  The T&P track will enter the visible layout down near the far end.  The T&P train supposedly comes from a car ferry operation on the Mississippi River just a short distance to the west.  The T&P crew will pull it's interchange cut to Monterey and drop it in the yard, grab the cars waiting for them, and then head back to the landing at the river.  That line drawn on the wall is the base elevation for the yard to be built here.
