| << Previous | Here's a birds eye view of the Illinois
Central trackage (center) that is running through the business
district of Willis. The mainline is complete, but the passing
siding and the interchange track switch have yet to be
installed. The penciled in curve coming off the interchange
switch will be the interchange track leading into the Louisiana
Central yard. The curving track to the right and following the
wall is the Louisiana Central mainline continuing to Bude (actually,
it's dipping down and heading into staging). The white areas are drywall compound. The Homasote sold these days isn't near as "perfect" as that sold years ago, so I'm filling some of the joints to level out the table top. I also used drywall screws to temporarily clamp the Homasote down while gluing it to the plywood, then removed the screws after the glue dried. I went ahead and filled those holes so scenery materials wouldn't get swallowed up later. |
